Participating in the Ubisoft Game Jam was a great experience, this was also my first Game Jam I have participated in. I learned a lot from this, both making pixel art and design as well as working in a team under a tight time restraint. We only had 48 hours to make a game and I think our team did quite well with the time we had. Unity teams made it very convenient to collaborate and sync up work progress fast and effectively. The theme for the game jam was "With great power comes great responsibility". We went through a few game ideas but decided on making a game about a little girl who could turn into a werewolf. The consequence would come from the choice at the end of the game where you choose to proceed as either the girl or the werewolf to decide your ending. With more time to explore the mechanic there would have been room to add consequence throughout the game that may be added later. I mainly worked on the environment pixel art and the level design so I got to experiment how those coincide together as I was making the art. I am grateful to have worked with a team with similar goals and ambitions, I think that really helped our team make something great. I look forward to working with them again in a future project as well which may be in another month or so when everyone has time for it. Overall it was a great learning experience and it has me motivated to work on games again. You can check out the game on the projects page if you are interested in trying it out.
